First off, I absolutely love the Saints Protection & Investigations series by Maryann Jordan, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint! It had twists and turns literally right up until the end. Nathan & Scarlett (his bloodhound tracking dog!) helped Agnes, knew her for an hour, but she stuck with him for 2-years; little did he know he had the same impression on her. She went into WitSec and became Agatha; he lived quietly, tracking for several agencies, including the Saints, and because of her case, eventually joined the Saints. Yet when they met again, through the Saints, she knew him, but due her becoming Agatha & some surgery changing her just enough he didn’t know her, though he did have a sense of déjà vu. I love their story, and how she finds her strength – strength her FBI handler (she lets you know in memories), Nathan and others told her she had, but she had to learn for herself; and the building of the relationship between Nathan & Aggie; and how surprised she is at how she becomes part of the Saints “family” by virtue of not only being such a great person but by being Nathan’s. And of course, with this being Maryann Jordan’s book – besides romance & heat, there’s intrigue, action, twists, turns, and surprises. It’s awesome! It’s already on my “read me again” list!Tags : Searching Love (Saints Protection & Investigations Book 12) - Kindle edition by Maryann Jordan. Searching Love Saints Protection Investigations Book 12 edition by Maryann Jordan Romance eBooks Reviews
Very sad that this is the last Saints. Amazing series that I will definitely reread numerous times.
Nathan and his dogs are trackers. Jack has been trying to get him to come aboard. Two years ago, Nathan and Scarlett track down Agnes. He only spent a short time with her, but he can't stop thinking about her.
After Agnes was found by Nathan, she leaves with Harlan, a FBI agent. He arranged for her identity to be changed. She is now Agatha. She works at a woman's shelter.
The Saints have been alerted that Agnes could be in danger. They just need to find her. When Nathan hears this, he finally agrees to join the Saints. They just have to find her.
I am such a fan of Maryann Jordan's books! This is definitely no exception. This is what I assume is the last book in a great series, Searching Love was fantastic! Nathan and Agatha (Agnes) were great together and you will find yourself rooting for them to figure it out. These books are always well written and the characters you feel like you know and learn to love them all. I really liked them together and seeing them get their happy ending was great! I am excited about the future series that is introduced in this story. It definitely makes ending this series easier knowing there is a new one right around the corner. As always the story line flowed well and had me turning the pages wondering what would happen next! Nathan was so sexy and just like the rest of the Saints fell hard and fast! Agatha was a great heroine strong and looking to make up for her family sins. She was very likeable. This was a good read so enjoy!!
The well-done finale of the Saints Protection Series. Bringing back two characters who have been in previous books, Jordan casts a look back at the past while giving a glimpse into the future. First, we see the rescue and assistance of the new company that will be the subject of the author's next series. Then we see the Saints' family a few years down the road as they all gather for a party at Jack's home.
The subjects here are Nathan, his bloodhound Scarlett, and Agnes, the woman he found and led to safety two years earlier. He had never forgotten her and their paths are about to cross again, mysteriously and ultimately happily.
Agnes has been assisted to find a new identity, a new look and a new job by a group helping the FBI agent who had whisked her away that night. Jack is the first to figure out who the mysterious protector is, and he's shocked and happy to learn that he is right. Meanwhile, Agnes' hideous family is still threatening her. This time, however, she has not only the Saints but Nathan, Scarlett and her mysterious benefactors on her side. You just know that they will win.
Let me start with i love this series and will miss it. This is a good read overall. I have read it twice like all of the books in this series. It was gReat to catch up with the other characters too.
Now issues. The team members are suppose to be observant and on their game. Well the were in the presence of their target several times and never noticed. The hero felt something about the person but just let it slide, even though he spoke to this person before. He dreamed about this person and had a photo. Yes plastic surgery can do wonders but a nose job and hair dye, not enough to get past PIs.
Next issue is they seem less careful with the Russian a this time. No check for bugs and tracking devices. Not monitoring prison visitors to see who they really are.
The other issue was the ominous reading by one of the wives. She didn't mention it to her husband or friends. Not likely.
These were my OCD problems with the book. I still liked the book and read it in a day. If it was my first read in the series i wouldn't have noticed the continuity.
Oh. And I plan on rereading this series next month. I loved it that mich.
What can be better than a hero and his dogs, Search and Rescue bloodhounds named Scarlett, Beau, Red, and Persi? Nathan loves his life, but he is kind of a loner. A cabin in the woods and his dogs. Until the night he meets Agnes.
She was brave, running from her Russian Mafia family. When Agnes slowly realizes they are in the business of sex trafficking, she plans to turn them in to the FBI. The night her family are arrested, Agnes is rescued by Nathan and Scarlett. She and Nathan have a small amount of time to talk before she is wisked away to WitSec. Agnes (who is now Agatha) and Nathan spend the next two years thinking of and longing for each other, convinced they will never meet again, but hope is hard to dismiss!
“Searching Love” will benefit from another editing. The storyline is somewhat complex, with lots of characters from the rest of the series. The book stands alone well, and appears to be the last of this series. An entertaining read!
