Jealousy Strange Angels Book 3 Lili St Crow Books
Ignore the cover - Dru and Graves don't look a thing like that. There is a lot going on and I didn't expect what happened. The characters are mostly likable and believable. They fight vampires, who attack or are planning to attack them. There is an interesting genetic twist to the makeup of the good guys. Be sure to read Strange Angels and Betrayal first, though. They are also very good. One of my favorite series and I have read many of them!Tags : Amazon.com: Jealousy (Strange Angels, Book 3) (9781595142900): Lili St. Crow: Books,Lili St. Crow,Jealousy (Strange Angels, Book 3),Razorbill,1595142908,Action & Adventure - General,Horror,Fantasy,Identity,Identity (Psychology),Orphans,Paranormal fiction,Psychic ability,Psychic ability;Fiction.,Supernatural,Supernatural;Fiction.,Vampires,Werewolves,Werewolves;Fiction.,Children's Teenage fiction & true stories,Children: Young Adult (Gr. 7-9),Fiction,Fiction-Horror,Horror Ghost Stories (Young Adult),JUVENILE,Juvenile Fiction,Juvenile Grades 7-9 Ages 12-14,Monograph Series, any,Paranormal,Paranormal fiction,Psychic ability,Psychic ability;Fiction.,Supernatural,Supernatural;Fiction.,TEEN'S FICTION - ACTION & ADVENTURE,TEEN'S FICTION HORROR & GHOST STORIES,United States,Vampires,Werewolves,Werewolves;Fiction.,YOUNG ADULT FICTION,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Action & Adventure General,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Horror,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Paranormal, Occult & Supernatural,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Social Themes Friendship,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Social Themes Peer Pressure, supernatural;friendship;fantasy books;teen fiction books;bullying;tween books for girls ages 11-14;books for 13 year old girls;teen books;young adult books;books for teens;friends;teen girl books;ya books;young adult;books for teen girls;teen boy books;teen books for girls;books for 12 year old girls;books for teen boys;books for 12 year old boys;teen books for boys;books for 14 year old girls;books for 14 year old boys;books for 13 year old boys;making friends;fantasy books for teens, young adult; supernatural; bullying; teen books; young adult books; books for teens; fantasy books; ya books; books for teen girls; tween books for girls ages 11-14; teen girl books; teen books for girls; books for teen boys; books for 12 year old girls; teen boy books; books for 12 year old boys; books for 13 year old boys; books for 13 year old girls; teen books for boys; teen fiction books; books for 14 year old boys; books for 14 year old girls; young adult fantasy books; fantasy books for teens; peer pressure,Paranormal,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Action & Adventure General,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Horror,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Paranormal, Occult & Supernatural,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Social Themes Friendship,YOUNG ADULT FICTION Social Themes Peer Pressure,Fiction,Horror Ghost Stories (Young Adult),YOUNG ADULT FICTION,Children: Young Adult (Gr. 7-9),Children's Teenage fiction & true stories
Jealousy Strange Angels Book 3 Lili St Crow Books Reviews
I read the series first in my school media center, and couldn't take my eyes off of it my teachers had troubles getting me to read is what they said later when I finished reading the first two books. A couple months later I couldn't wait for the media center to get the rest of the books so here I am reading the third instalment, and now I'm going to dive in head first into the fourth. By far graves is my favorite character. I loved the phrase he used first one is free. He developed so powerfully I kept dreading something could happen. Spoiler alert warning when I got to where he disappeared I lay my device down, and stared at the words for acouple of minutes. I had to continue reading it got better and better.
Wow. After waiting for MONTHS for this book, I finally got to read it and it was worth the wait. Jealousy was a fast-paced roller coaster with Dru's emotions and relationships.
In the book Dru is finally brought to the main schola where she will supposedly be safe. Unfortunately for Dru there simply isn't anywhere that is safe for her. The series continues to examine the complexities in the relationships between Dru , Christophe and Graves. I wish there was some resolution there but that will be for later books. Additionally, Lili brings more discussion Ash into the book. Dru brought Ash to the main schola and has a very maternal instinct toward him. Dru needs to be needed and Ash is the only one that truly seems to need her. Be ready for some interesting plot twists in this book because it will not end in the way you expect it to.
Jealousy is by far my favorite book so far in this series (see the Archives for a review of the first book in the series Strange Angels). It was so much faster than the other two books. Furthermore, as a reader you really feel the process of Dru blooming or going through a second puberty. She is very unsure of herself but is still trying to figure out who she is without everyone else. She has her moments where she seems weak or stubbornly strong. I believe that these traits will allow all readers to connect with her and understand the story in a first person manner. I give jealousy a 5 out of 5.
Dru Anderson is the most realistic kick butt female in any book I have ever read. The book reads just the way a teenager raised in a tense, on the edge environment would tell the story. Yep, there is cursing, I'd curse too if I was being stalked by the worst vampire around! She contiues to grow and become more confident in this book. While Graves is filling out to be a real hunk with a wonderful mind and nice shoulders to cry on.
Christophe, hmmm....now that one is hiding something! The mystery around him keeps swirling. Now why does he smell so good? What do they teach about him in the classroom? I gotta say, he is charming, but he sorta creeps me out.
Cannot wait for the next book! If I had a complaint it would be PLEASE WRITE FASTER LILI!!!!!!
I am going to have to say, Jealousy was a great installment to the Strange Angels series; in fact it is my favorite of the series so far. All of your favorite characters are back; Graves, Christophe, Dru and all of the Wulfen from Betrayals. Anna is more of a main focus in Jealousy and you meet the Council, which consists mainly of stuffy old dudes. My favorite addition to the series would have to be Leon; a member of Dru's group of bodyguards. He is a lot of fun and lightens up the mood of the book. My particular favorite scene with Leon was when Dru took everyone shopping at target. He loves those slushies!
Dru also comes into her own more throughout the book. Her abilities and "enhancements" sporadically come out to play - often just in the nick of time. I was hoping that she would fully bloom in this book, but it looks like it is going to happen in book 4. At least, I hope it is book 4 and not 5 or 6!
As far as plot goes this book answered a lot of questions left open from the first two books. That being said, I felt like there was a lot of back story. Once again, like in Betrayals, there was a lot of repeated storyline. I mean, instead of paraphrasing, complete paragraphs were lifted from the first two books. This slowed the book down a great deal and was extremely frustrated because I was re-reading complete sequences. However, the story line made great leaps with the plot and when new things were happening it was always intense and intriguing.
It is still unclear who Dru will chose though, Christophe or Graves. I am 100% team Graves and I am really pulling for more of a Dru/Graves romance. There are a few moments between both Graves and Dru and Christophe and Dru in Jealousy, so she could still go either way. I personally just feel like Graves is a better fit for her and Christophe kind of creeps me out. Especially since he was all hot on her mother. That is just weird.
The ending of Jealousy was absolutley out of left field and it was utterly fabulous. It leaves you on the edge of your seat and completely begging for book 4. My hopes for the next book are that we see more of our tried and true characters (Dru, Christophe & Graves) as well as my newer favorites, Leon (from Jealousy) and Shanks (from Betrayals). I am also pulling for a full on Graves/Dru relationship! Keep those fingers crossed everyone!
